NO JABS YET FOR COHORTS 10, 11 and 12
Salford has 25 new coronavirus cases, down from the previous day's 54, while the seven day rate per 100,000 population now stands at 106.6, down from 112. There have been no new virus-related deaths announced by Salford Royal Hospital.
Meanwhile, Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health, refused to let Salford continue vaccinating more cohorts, telling Salford MP Rebecca Long Bailey that "What everybody in Salford and around the country needs to do is make sure that every last effort is made to reach every last person in groups 1 to 9, because they are the most vulnerable."
