Salford has 94 new coronavirus cases, up from the previous day's 86, as the seven day rate per 100,000 population now stands at 168.1, up from 166.9. There have been two new virus-related deaths at Salford Royal Hospital.
Meanwhile, at the Greater Manchester Leaders' press conference yesterday, GM Mayor Andy Burnham, said that at the moment, Greater Manchester is in a different position than the rest of the country – Tier 4 is possible but not inevitable.
