Salford has 36 new coronavirus cases, up from the previous day's 32, bringing the cumulative total to 22,311. The seven day average of cases in Salford is now 272, up from 265, while the seven day rate per 100,000 population has now stands at 105.1, up from 102.4.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, the seven day average of cases in Bury is 146 (down from 148), with a seven day rate per 100,000 population of 76.4 (down from 77.5); Bolton 272 (up from 270), with a rate of 94.6 (up from 93.9); Manchester 459 (down from 462), with a rate of 83 (down from 83.6); and Oldham 222 (up from 209), with a rate of 93.6 (up from 88.1).
Rochdale has a seven day average of cases of 251 (same), with a seven day rate of 112.9 (same); Stockport 261 (up from 253), with a rate of 89 (up from 86.2); Tameside 256 (up from 244), with a rate of 113 (up from 107.7); Trafford 151 (up from 140), with a rate of 63.6 (up from 59); and Wigan 307 (down from 308), with a rate of 93.4 (down from 93.7).
Over half the boroughs in Greater Manchester are now seeing rises in infection rates, which could be linked to more testing being done in around schools.
Meanwhile, there have been no new virus-related deaths at Salford Royal Hospital for the sixth day running.
