Salford has 9 new coronavirus cases, down from the previous day's 19, which brings the cumulative total of cases to 23,033. The seven day average of cases in Salford is now 84, down from 90, while the seven day rate per 100,000 population now stands at 32.5, down from 34.8.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, the seven day average of cases in Bury is 84 (up from 83), with a seven day rate per 100,000 population of 44 up from 43.5); Bolton 160 (down from 168), with a rate of 55.6 (down from 58.4); Manchester 285 (down from 308), with a rate of 51.6 (down from 55.7) and Oldham 129 (down from 145), with a rate of 54.4 (down from 61.2).
Rochdale has a seven day average of cases of 141 (down from 142), with a seven day rate of 63.4 (down from 63.8); Stockport 132 (down from 143), with a rate of 45 (down from 48.7); Tameside 124 (down from 129), with a rate of 54.7 (down from 57); Trafford 79 (down from 83), with a rate of 33.3 (down from 35); and Wigan 156 (up from 154), with a rate of 47.5 (up from 46.9).
There have been no new virus-related deaths announced by Salford Royal Hospital.
Meanwhile, today sees the re-opening of non-essential shops, outdoor hospitality, drive-in performance events, libraries, community centres and beauty salons.
Members of the same household can also go on holiday to self contained places, weddings with up to 15 people can take place, and there can be two visitors to care home residents.
