The cult of Andy Burnham in these parts is growing after he has stood up to the Government over its dodgy financial 'Tier' packages, stood up for the hospitality industry, stood up for three million people excluded from any financial support and really been the only Greater Manchester Leader to open himself up to questions from the press, while actually giving information out about what is going on with the COVID-19.
Like him or loathe him (see social media!) Burnham has at least provided some sort of leadership during the crisis and hence there is a Burnham market in full swing. First, Salford brewers Seven Bro7hers created a strong (5.2%) King of the North beer in his honour with 'a tropical fruity aroma...Hazy and soft with minimal bitterness' .to 'help hospitality in need', with tips going to the Greater Manchester Mayor's Charity.*
Now comes the Andy Burnham poster and mug, courtesy of Stanley Chow Print Shop. Chow's images of celebs, from Burt Reynolds to Marcus Rashford to Joe Biden, have a distinct quality of their own, and they are now joined by the GM Mayor...
