Salford has 78 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the cumulative total to 4,335, up from the previous day's 4,257.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, cases in Manchester rose to 11,853 (up from 11,619), followed by Bolton 5,958 (up from 5,889), Oldham with 5,326 (up from 5,241), Wigan 4,877 (up from 4,733), Rochdale 4,476 (up from 4,434), Tameside 3,878 (up from 3,816), Stockport 3,769 (up from 3,683), Trafford 3,361 (up from 3,289) and Bury 3,515 (up from 3,452).
There have been no new virus-related deaths at Salford Royal Hospital, although there have been 34 in the North West.
