Salford has 29 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the cumulative total to 1,814, up from the previous day's 1,785. It's the largest number of cases in the city since April.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, cases in Manchester rose to 4,284 (up from 4,230), followed by Oldham with 2,907 (up from 2,877), Wigan 2,322 (up from 2,311), Bolton 2,357 (up from 2,289), Rochdale 2,261 (up from 2,236), Stockport 1,978 (up from 1,977), Tameside 1,929 (up from 1,913), Trafford 1,692 (down from 1,699) and Bury 1,590 (up from 1,575).
As the figures show, some boroughs had huge increases, including Bolton which had a massive 68 new virus cases despite being released from tighter restrictions last Friday. Meanwhile, Oldham had 30 new cases despite tough restrictions and Manchester had 54 new cases.
There have been no new virus-related deaths at Salford Royal Hospital.
