Salford has six new confirmed positive tests for coronavirus, bringing the total to 1,726, up from the previous day's 1,720. Over the last few days, cases in Salford have been reducing and that appears to be the picture throughout the whole of Greater Manchester.
In Greater Manchester, cases in Manchester rose to 4,054 (up from 4,034), followed by Oldham with 2,770 (up from 2,759), Wigan 2,289 (up from 2,281), Bolton 2,218 (up from 2,207), Rochdale 2,160 (up from 2,155), Stockport 1,955 (up from 1,950), Tameside 1,855 (up from 1,842), Trafford 1,609 (up from 1,606) and Bury 1,536 (up from 1,529).
There have been no new virus-related deaths at Salford Royal Hospital.
Meanwhile throughout the whole North West just one patient has been admitted to hospital with the virus, according to latest daily data from the Government, with 96 patients still in hospital and 18 on ventilation.
