Yesterday afternoon and this morning, the Government's official COVID-19 data site was not updated due to 'technical difficulties'. But new data has been released this afternoon which shows that for two days new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Salford rose by 36, bringing a cumulative total of 1,594, up from 1,1558.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester the number of cases also covers two days...
Manchester now has a total of 3,627 (up from 3,550), followed by Oldham with 2,498 (up from 2,389), Wigan 2,225 (up from 2,215), Bolton 2,119 (up from 2,091), Rochdale 2,020 (up from 1,988), Stockport 1,869 (up from 1,852), Tameside 1,747 (up from 1,724), Trafford 1,528 (up from 1,504) and Bury 1,422 (up from 1,410).
Greater Manchester Mayor, Andy Burnham is due to give a press conference tomorrow about the Greater Manchester situation.
There have been no new virus-related deaths at Salford Royal Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Office for National Statistics has reported no virus-related deaths in Salford care homes, hospice, hospital or at home for the week ending 31st July.
