Salford has eleven new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 1,405, up from the previous day's 1,394. It's the second highest number of new cases for two weeks. Bolton, Trafford, Manchester and Oldham also saw relatively large increases of cases.
In Greater Manchester, Manchester has 31 new cases making a total of 3,113 (up from 3,084), followed by Wigan with 2,163 (up from 2,155), Oldham 1,993 (up from 1,986), Bolton 1,942 (up from 1,929), Rochdale 1,812 (up from 1,801), Stockport 1,683 (up from 1,672), Tameside 1,566 (up from 1,561), Trafford 1,349 (up from 1,334), and Bury 1,314 (up from 1,312).
There were no new virus-related deaths at Salford Royal Hospital.
