Salford has no new confirmed coronavirus cases for the second day in a row, with the total staying at 972 cases, although this could be connected with weekend reporting delays.
Elsewhere in Greater Manchester, virus cases in Manchester now total 1,711 (up from 1,708), followed by Wigan with 1,231 (up from 1,230), Oldham 1,150 (up from 1,145), Stockport 1,083 (up from 1,079), Bolton 1,052 (up from 1,050), Trafford 879 (up from 878), Rochdale 878 (same), Tameside 859 (up from 856) and Bury 811 (up from 809).
Salford Royal Hospital has also reported no new virus-related deaths. This is the first time since the end of May that Salford has had no new virus cases or deaths – but that too was related to weekend reporting.
