SALFORD SCHOOL HEADS SEND SHOCKING LETTERS TO PARENTS CONDEMNING TORY GOVERNMENT SCHOOL CUTS

Star date: 24th June 2019 7,000 SCHOOLS ACROSS COUNTRY CONDEMN 'INADEQUATE' DEPARTMENT FOR EDUCATION School heads from across Salford, and across the country, have sent letters to parents condemning "extremely challenging" schools budgets which have been reduced by 8% in real terms since 2010. "Class sizes are rising", support for children's emotional wellbeing "is being eroded" and the most vulnerable students "are bearing the brunt of cuts" states one Salford head teacher, whose letter to parents has been passed to the Salford Star. While the Salford Star reported a looming schools crisis last week relating to demand from new housing developments*, today school heads from across Salford, and from around 7,000 schools across the country, have sent letters to parents headlined 'School Funding Issues'. One of the letters from a Salford primary school head has been passed onto the Star and begins "Sadly, I have to confirm that despite intense lobbying of the Government and Department for Education, school budgets remain extremely challenging. In short, schools are still not getting the right funding to deliver the level of education and support that is expected and that our families and children deserve". The Head Teacher lists four 'current concerns', which are an 8% cut in real term school budgets since 2010; Class sizes rising "and it is getting harder to maintain the range of experiences and sports currently offered"; support for children's emotional wellbeing "is being eroded due to poor levels of funding"; and that "the most vulnerable students in our schools are bearing the brunt of cuts and schools are struggling to provide the levels of support that they are entitled to..." The primary Head adds that the issues are common to schools all over the country, and that it must be made clear that "the current response from the Department for Education is inadequate". While the school is committed to "offering the best education we can to our young people", the Head urges parents to send messages to local MPs, the Department for Education and wider Government "to ensure that matters improve".

the number of secondary pupils moving on to higher education has never been higher in Salford!

| The main trouble with our education system is that it is run by white, fat arsed, middle class, lefty women with dangly earings who read the Guardian.What we need is people from our ethnic minorities in the teaching profession to be put in positions of power.People like Katherine Birbalsingh and a few more like her. The danglys don't like this ethnic minority crews views on many things, like traditional teaching methods, their liking of the 11 plus system, strict discipline etc. This is a row that the teaching mob do not like to talk about. A good example, after newsnight the other day there was a program about a guy who lived in Brixton. His son was written off by our education experts over here as being in need of special needs.His dad sent the lad and his mum over to Jamaca where the dad came from,and it showed the kid ,now in top stream ready to start grammar school.Thats whats wrong with our schools, leftyism and political correctness. |

| Let’s hope the government asks this labour controlled council why it’s been spending millions of pounds on rugby stadiums, fountains, bridges. Allowing multi billion airs like the done brothers and peel holdings get away with paying section 106 monies and doesn’t Salford Council have one of the worst records for collecting business rates and council tax in the country and how many millions have been wrote off because of their incompetence, these are the reasons why there’s no money for vital services in Salford, this Labour Party controlled councils incompetence is the simple answer. Also schools need to put there money in to teaching real subjects, not teaching political correctness courses like LGBTQ’s to four year old kids, if they’ve got money for brain washing courses like these, then there being payed to much. We’ve got kids in Salford leaving school unable to read and write, but we’ve got time and money to spend on leftwing socialist political brain washing courses. How much time and money was wasted by these teachers writing this political letter, time that should of been spent teaching kids to read and write |

| The letter has been issued by Labour Local Authorities around the North West (and possibly further a field), whilst it's correct that funding in real terms has been cut, many schools have been able to manage this effectively without affecting the education of the Children and the letter states otherwise.
It concerns me that non-political Council employees such as Cathy Starbuck the Council Assistant Director responsible for schools is instructing Head Teachers to send out this letter. The email from Ms Starbuck states:
Dear Headteacher,
Following last week’s communications, many Heads have received permission from their Chair of Governors to send this letter out. We agreed to try to send the letter out on the same day, today, Monday 24th June. The letter is attached again which can be tweaked to suit your audience. There will be a press release from our City Mayor to coincide with the letter.
