Amidst all the political horror going off at the moment, Barton Theatre Company is promising "a ray of sunshine" via its new production, A Basinful Of The Briny, being staged at its new venue, Eccles Congregational Church, between this Wednesday 1st May and Friday 3rd May.
The play, by Leslie Sands, focuses on the mishaps and misunderstandings that occur when Mr and Mrs Pepper arrive at the Seaview Guest House to celebrate their first anniversary. There's the dragonish proprietress, Mrs Austin, and the unexpected arrival of their in-laws, complete with the distraction of the glamorous Miss Windermere. But behind the banter, crooks are at work...
