The No Stone Unturned team, hued from the very depths of Salford's rich seam of talent, is back again at the Black Lion with a night entitled Chuck 'em a Kipper, which promises singalongs, laughs and loads of beer. It's open mic, so anyone can get up and do a turn, while the night is led by music from Barnyard and poetry, tall tales and comedy by Mike Skeff and others.
"The Black Lion is becoming a great venue for live performance with music/open mic nights on Friday and Sunday and there's also food available" says Mike "There's an International Beer tasting festival with free samples in the afternoon 'til 7pm and it's then straight into No Turn Unstoned, so if you want a great day and evening get yourself down.
"It's a great place to get your own stuff out there, whether it's music, poetry or whatever and we encourage people to do their own material as much as possible. We emphasise the spoken word, so poets and story tellers are most welcome and needed. These nights are always good fun so see you down there."
