It might only be June, but tickets are going fast for a Charity Night in October to raise funds for Springwood Primary School, which caters for children who have profound, complex or challenging needs.
One of the organisers is Jolene Moore, of Friends of Springwood... "My daughter is five years old, she has autism as well as other learning disabilities and attends this school" she says "Since starting there she has come on so much."
Headlining the night at the Kersal Club will be the incredibly popular UB40 tribute band, Homegrown, and there will be two raffles. Everyone who buys a ticket will be entered into one raffle with the winning ticket number getting a prize, while there will also be another raffle at the event for which people can buy tickets...
"If anyone has anything they would like to donate towards the raffle that would be great" says Jolene.
